Be part of the movement transforming how emergency medical services and mobile healthcare are delivered.

The Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI) brings together forward-thinking EMS organizations, healthcare innovators, and industry partners committed to advancing high-performance, high-value, patient-centered mobile healthcare.

AIMHI members share a commitment to clinical excellence, operational innovation, accountability, and the integration of EMS into the broader healthcare system.

Through collaboration, education, advocacy, and the exchange of innovative practices, AIMHI works to help shape the future of EMS and mobile healthcare.

Membership Categories

AIMHI offers three membership classifications designed to recognize the different ways organizations and individuals contribute to the advancement of high-performance EMS and Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH).

Active Membership

For EMS and Mobile Integrated Healthcare agencies leading innovation in care delivery.

Active Membership is available to agencies that meet AIMHI’s criteria for High-Performance EMS (HPEMS) or operate qualifying EMS-based Mobile Integrated Healthcare programs.

High-Performance EMS Eligibility

Agencies qualifying through the HPEMS pathway must:

  • Externally report performance measures.
  • Be authorized by local government.
  • Bill for services provided.

Qualifying agencies should also demonstrate operational and clinical attributes that include, but are not limited to:

  • Tiered BLS/ALS deployment.
  • Flexible production and resource deployment strategies.
  • Evidence-based clinical sophistication.
  • Alignment with AIMHI’s mission and vision.

Mobile Integrated Healthcare Eligibility

Agencies may alternatively qualify for Active Membership by operating an EMS-based MIH program designed to improve patient outcomes, enhance the patient experience, and reduce healthcare expenditures.

Qualifying MIH programs must:

  • Utilize specially trained personnel.
  • Operate within an organized care delivery model integrated with the local healthcare community.
  • Have personnel credentialed by a physician medical director.
  • Complement existing community healthcare resources through services such as patient navigation, high-risk patient management, or other initiatives designed to improve care and healthcare system value.

Active Member Representation and Voting

Each Active Member organization receives one vote, regardless of agency size or organizational structure. Each organization designates a primary voting representative and an alternate. Proxy voting is not permitted.

Organizations that own, manage, or control multiple licensed HPEMS or MIH agencies apply under a single membership using their primary business location.

Affiliate Membership

For organizations and individuals supporting the advancement of EMS and mobile healthcare.

Affiliate Membership is available to individuals, businesses, and organizations engaged in the manufacturing, sale, rental, or support of products, goods, or services to HPEMS and MIH agencies.

Affiliate Membership provides an opportunity for industry partners and other stakeholders to participate in AIMHI’s mission and engage with organizations advancing innovative models of EMS and mobile healthcare delivery.

Affiliate Members are non-voting members and must comply with AIMHI’s membership standards and bylaws.

Honorary Membership

Recognizing exceptional contributions to EMS and mobile healthcare.

Honorary Membership recognizes individuals or organizations that have rendered distinguished service to the High-Performance EMS and Mobile Integrated Healthcare professions or related medical fields.

Honorary Members may be elected to lifetime membership through an affirmative vote of two-thirds of AIMHI’s Board of Directors.

Honorary Membership is a non-voting classification.
